  1. Eat fresh fruits
    Fruits have a high water content and are a good source of fibre, both of which help you balance your blood sugar levels. Fructose takes around 7 hours for the body to break down so you don’t get sugar spikes and crashes. By regulating your blood sugar levels you eliminate sugar cravings which are often the cause of us wanting sweets or chocolate.
  2. Eat vegetables. A lot!
    Most vegetables are naturally low in fat and calories. None have cholesterol.
    Vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fibre, folate (folic acid), vitamin A, and vitamin C. Diets rich in foods containing fibre, such as some vegetables and fruits, may reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
    Eating foods such as vegetables that are lower in calories per cup instead of some other higher-calorie food may be useful in helping to lower calorie intake
  3. Legumes: beans, lentils, chickpeas
    The complex carbohydrates in legumes deliver sustainable energy to help regulate blood sugar levels. Additional benefits of legumes are their low fat, high protein composition. They fill you up, without filling you out. Eat at least once a day, every day.
  4. Cinnamon
    Cinnamon is a useful spice that works as an aid to stop increased storage of fat thus helping you to lose weight. It helps your body to metabolise fat and in combination with honey, or in hot water. It is a great way to keep your digestive system healthy.
  5. Soup
    Eating soups like vegetable or chicken soup or especially soups based on bone broth is a great way to help you lose weight as it is easily digested, high in nutrients and low in calories. Especially when you eat them in evening as its so easy for your body to digest, that it enables your body to go ahead and do all the other things it needs to do – like dump toxins.
  6. Olive oil
    Olive oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids which help keep your heart healthy. These fatty acids support your body’s sensitivity to insulin, which helps reduce fat in the stomach.
  7. Coconut oil 
    Because of the energy creating abilities of coconut oil, it is beneficial in losing weight. It helps to burn fat and decrease appetite!The healthy medium chain fatty acids do not circulate in the bloodstream like other fats; they are sent directly to the liver and are converted into energy. Therefore the body does not store the fat in coconut oil as fat; it uses it to produce energy instead.
  8. Chillies
    Chillies generate heat as your body digests them, so as a result your body ends up burning calories rather than storing them! They are also an excellent appetite suppressant.
