Mango, Banana and Berry Smoothie

Not only does this smoothie  look too good to be true, but the health boosting benefits of the ingredients will do wonders to for your mind and body. Packed with mango, orange and berries – it is crammed with antioxidants.

Mangoes may very well be the king of all fruits. They fight cancer, alkalize the body, aid in weight loss, regulate diabetes, help digestion, and clear your skin. Yes oranges are a good source of Vitamin C, but did you know they are also a wonderful source of source of B vitamins including vitamin B1, pantothenic acid, and folate as well as vitamin A, calcium, copper, and potassium. And last but not least, berries. Sweet, sweet berries! You can use any mixture of berries for this smoothie, but we suggest blueberries as they are the most nutrient dense in the berry family. Blueberries are believed to contain the highest antioxidant capacity of ALL commonly consumed fruits and vegetables!

Antioxidant Boosting Mango, Orange and Berry Smoothie (serves 2)

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup mango

1/2 orange – peeled and chopped

1/4 cup fresh mango juice

1/2 cup yogurt

1/2 cup coconut milk

mineral water and ice


Blend the banana, mango, orange, water and ice. Pour into glass, filling half way. Then blend the blueberries, coconut milk and yogurt and layer on top. Enjoy!
